In Memory of Zyzz
Welcome to the official tribute site for Aziz ‘Zyzz’ Shaversian. Zyzz was a great man, and literally an inspiration to millions; his legend will undoubtedly live on, and his message will continue to spread across the world: that just because you’re born with a certain physique doesn’t mean you’re stuck with it, that we all have a choice to make, and that we can live our lives however we choose to.
My name is Big JC, and I met Zyzz leading up to the release of his book. I helped collaborate and put it together for him, and during that process learned a lot about Zyzz, his philosophy on life, and how he achieved the body he always dreamt of. I learned a lot of things from Zyzz, but one of the sayings he had that stuck in my head (and has stuck with me until this day) was “Don’t be a hard cunt, be a sick cunt”. This is an awesome attitude for someone who undoubtedly got a shitload of attention. He didn’t act like he was better than anyone, or that you had to be a cunt to people to get what you wanted in life – his goal was just to be the best he could be, and he was.
Zyzz’s Bodybuilding Bible
When Zyzz was still with us, he put together a simple guide on how to attain the body of your dreams. It worked for him, and it’s the perfect guide on how to get the body you’ve always wanted. If you read this book, and follow the steps with dedication and hard work, then you’ll change your body in no time at all.
The book originally retailed for $59.95, but for a limited time we’re giving it away for Free in honour of Zyzz, as his legacy was to make bodybuilding an attainable hobby for everyone, to make the world more aesthetic and to get everyone in the gym motivated to learn, train and diet right, and make the world a more beautiful place.
Zyzz was taken from us far too early. But as I’m sure he would’ve loved, his death brought about even more fame and notoriety than he ever had while he was alive. After his tragic passing on 05/08/2011 in Bangkok, Thailand due to a congenital heart defect, his videos took the world by storm. He was hitting every major news paper, and the internet was going nuts to find out what happened.
His facebook fan page rose quickly from 60k fans to 300k+ and his videos got an unimaginable amount of views. Ever since, the attention hasn’t died down, with thousands of people still seeking out information about Zyzz every day, trying to find out everything from how he got his body, to who he was dating. As such, his legacy still lives on.
The Continuing Fame of Zyzz
Still to this day Zyzz is one of the most Googled celebrities on the planet, and we’re glad that we can be here to help and provide information to all of those that are newly discovering Zyzz, or even those that are re-visiting an old fascination with the great man.
The way that Zyzz showed us that we can be whatever we want to be, that we can personally make the choice to be an Alpha, and surpass what god naturally gave us, is a testament that will always be relevant. For somebody new just discovering bodybuilding, it is an amazing inspiration, and can be the difference between pushing through the embarrassingly low amount of weights and slow gains, to somebody who just gives up instead of pursuing it. Aesthetics is a worthy goal, and Zyzz showed us that we can all achieve it, even if we can’t reach his level, we can still achieve an amazing level far beyond what we’re currently at.
Even up until his death, Zyzz was still shooting to be even greater than he already was. Despite many saying he had the most aesthetic body on the planet, he still realised that bodybuilding is a never-ending journey, and that we can always be better tomorrow than we are today, and that is something that is never going to change.
The Real Zyzz
For me personally to have known Zyzz, albeit for a reasonably short period of time, was an honour, as many will never get to know the man for who he truly was. It’s important (and sometimes difficult for some) to realise that “Zyzz” was a fictional character created by Az, he didn’t actually talk like that all day, and say “Come at me bro” to everyone he encountered in his day to day life. He was much more than just some meat-head. He was a smart guy, he had goals, he had the intelligence to reach them, and it truly is a tragedy that he left us at such a young age.
This is what was really inspiring about Zyzz, the fact that he was a real guy; when you actually had a conversation with the man, he was down to earth, and actually had intelligent things to contribute. He wasn’t arrogant like he sometimes comes across in his video’s, he would actually go out of his way to be friendly and to help people out, especially those who were pretty knew to the whole Bodybuilding scene.
How you can pay tribute
So how can you thank this great man for changing your life, or even just giving you that extra bit of motivation? Well bro, that’s easy. When you think about taking a month off because it’s all getting too much – don’t. When you think about cheating on your diet just because it’s a bit quicker – don’t. When you think about laughing at some dude struggling at the gym rather than helping him out – go and help him instead. Zyzz was about making this whole bodybuilding thing much more attainable to the masses.
To pay your tribute to Zyzz it’s pretty simple – help make this planet a more aesthetically pleasing place. Help out the newbies, stick it out yourself, stop making excuses and just fucking do it. Go for it like he did, do it as he would, live as he would’ve lived, because he is one of the best role models I’ve seen for living your life like there is no tomorrow, because as he proved, sometimes there isn’t.
